Mriver & T.Whid Art Associates proudly present:
------------------------------ The fall fashion season is upon us, and we would like to commemorate the 1998 season by recalling every American's favorite seamstress: Betsy Ross. Not only did she sew the first flag of the american revolution but she embodied the independant spirit of the revolution, just as U.S. fashion designers embodied another independance from Europe this fall by staging their shows a full week ahead of their european counterparts. Increasing ties between the art industry and the fashion industry will, we hope, increase the independance of the art world from European hegemony. This is the last political work you will see from M.River&T.Whid Art Associates. We hope the tone is not to sullen.
